Fougères 2008 Ray Potter visited the 14th International Rallye du Pays de Fougères, a noted French classic car tour organised by the 'amazing' Patrick Rollet. The author travelled in his Jaguar SS100, together with other early British Jaguars and enjoyed a tour through the Suisse Normande, followed by a leisurely lunch. The following day proceedings were concentrated on the Chateâu de la Fresnay where, much to his surprise, Potter's SS100 won a prize in the concours, voted Choix Publique
Connaught Engineering - Size Didn't Matter! - Alan Baker describes the story of the Surrey-based racing car manufacturer who went on to score Britain's first F1 victory, at Syracuse in 1955 .
Highland Fling - Graham Gauld swaps the sunnier climes of the South of France for two trips to Scotland. The first was for an Ecurie Ecosse run around Inverness, the second to visit Jim Clark's birthplace of Duns where Club Lotus marked the 40th anniversary of the death of the great Scots World Champion.
