The story starts when Blond buys the ex-Roy Salvadori Jaguar XK120, enters his first race and is 'bitten'. With the help of his brother-in-law he then buys an ex-Ecurie Ecosse C-type Jaguar and campaigns this in the UK and abroad.
Further forays in 'KDB 100', the only D-type originally painted red, and semi-works drives for Lister, Tojeiro and HWM put Blond as one of the most successfull amateur drivers of the period.
