Strange as it may seem, golf was the primary theme of this year's Tour. Pitching and putting aside, driving was the order of the day as the customary selection of the world's finest exotica toured some of Scotland's most dramatic scenery.

Louis Gerard -
Louis Gerard was a little-known French racing driver of great talent whose career was interrupted in its prime by the Second World War. He was a regular driver for Delage at Le Mans, Brooklands and the Tourist Trophy, as well as competing, post-War, at Indianapolis in a Maserati 8CTF. He died,aged 101, in May 2000.

Paul Frère - Obituary
Neville Hay pays tribute to the life of the Belgian journalist and racing driver Paul Frère, who died in February 2008. He competed in Formula 1 and sports car races, winning the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1960, partnered by compatriot Olivier Gendebien.
