Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato - Philip Jones
Built as one of the original 19 Ercole Spada-designed bodies on the shorter-chassis version of the DB4, chassis DB4GT/0188/L has led a chequered life and is distinguished by its 'open' (almost 250GT SWB) headlamps.

Philip Jones describes the changes in ownership, colour and interior trim of the car over its nearly 45 years of life.

Raymond Baxter Interview, Conclusion - The Editor
The war has ended, and distinguished RAF pilot Baxter finds himself experiencing a successful interview with the BBC that leads him to cover many of the important events in Britain right through the Fifties, including the funerals of Sir Winston Churchill and King George VI (suspended from the ceiling of Westminster Abbey for the latter!), as well as many motor-racing events such as the British GP, the Le Mans 24 Hour race, and the Monte Carlo Rally. In the 1960s and '70s Baxter is most well known for fronting the science programme 'Tomorrow's World'.

Maserati 8CM - Colin Crabbe
Acquired in the 1960s from the Italian Monza Motor Museum, the 2.9 litre Grand Prix car was a regular site in English historic racing in the 1960s. Almost as fast as the author's Maserati 250F on a 'big' circuit like Silverstone GP, the car was eminently suited for four-wheel drifting - to the extent that the VSCC asked Crabbe to stop using a marshall's post as an aiming point!
